2003-2007 Subaru WRX and STI Megan Racing High Performance Aluminum Radiator
Megan Racing high performance aluminum radiators are a great upgrade over your stock radiator, offering a cost efficient way to reduce the temperature of your cars engine. This replacement will help reduce temperatures in all driving conditions, however it is most notable during race, drifting, drag, or other competitive and hard driving situations. A temperature difference of up to 20 degrees or more can be achieved by using this Megan Racing aluminum radiator.
Please flush the radiator before installation and properly take all the air pockets out. If the radiator is not properly installed, it may cause the motor to over heat due to low coolant or air pockets in the cooling system.
Specifications:
2002-2003 Subaru Impreza WRX models only have 1 radiator cap on the coolant reservoir on the intake manifold. On later models (2004+), Subaru added a second radiator cap with one on the radiator and one on the reservoir. This was to fix the difficulty of completely filling the system through one cap. Please check to make sure that you are getting the correct radiator for your application.
This will fit the 2002 model WRX, you just need to leave the cap closed.
Due to the extra radiator thickness and limited clearances behind the radiator, your upper radiator hose may require modification in order to fit the radiator. Specifically, it may need to be trimmed to be lightly shorter in order to accommodate the larger radiator. Make sure to take very careful clearance measurements before making the final cut to avoid errors.
